Business Analyst (ID#3522)

We are seeking a part-time Business Analyst to help our client establish and implement a repeatable process and solution model to onboard system integration and resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Business Analysis and specific Project Management services to facilitate access to systems
  • Engage with sponsors and stakeholders to confirm scope, goals, objectives, and benefits
  • Maintain project decision, issue and risk logs
  • Track project plans and deliverables
  • Facilitate project meeting and provide status updates as required
  • Conduct a thorough current situation assessment of external service providers’ access methods and on-boarding readiness, and document findings
  • Work with project resources to identify requirements, further define scope, WBS creation, verify and control scope
  • Work with stakeholder groups to review, identify, document clarify and prioritize requirements
  • Liaise with technical resources both internal and external to define an effective access model to contracted providers
  • Document issues, and access challenges anticipated in implementing and sustaining the new model; and provide recommendations where applicable
  • Assist in change management activities as needed
  • Follow through with the initial implementation at the selected sites and document feedback
  • Complete other related project deliverables as directed by the Portfolio Manager

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on enterprise level IMIT projects, preferably within a healthcare environment and including full requirements lifecycle management, solution identification and design, solution testing and validation, change management, and solution deployment
  • Professional Business Analyst designation (e.g. CBAP) or equivalent
  • Experience in business process design/redesign, use case analysis, process and data flow analysis, and all standard business analysis tools and techniques
  • Direct knowledge, education and experience working with information technology systems including knowledge of standard two and three tier system architectures
  • Experience preparing project management and business analysis deliverables, for example: Project Charter, WBS, Project Schedule, Business Requirements Documents, Fit/Gap Assessments and requirements traceability related deliverables/work
  • Experience preparing communication materials
  • Exceptional English language oral and written communication, facilitation and presentation skills including presenting to upper management and senior management
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, analytical and organizational skills
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience working with BC Health Authorities
    • Experience working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system implementations including system configuration and customization from a business analyst perspective; preferably the Paris EMR
    • Experience supporting privacy and security assessment processes, and/or preparing Privacy Impact Assessments or Security Threat and Risks Assessments
