Business Intelligence QA Analyst (ID#4029)

We are looking for a Business Intelligence QA Analyst. This position is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of data within a business intelligence or data analytics environment. The QA Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, data engineers, and data analysts to develop and execute test plans, test cases, and data validation processes. The QA Analyst will utilize their strong understanding of data quality concepts, data profiling techniques, and data governance principles to identify and resolve data quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Data Quality Assurance: Develop and implement data quality assurance processes and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used in business intelligence and reporting.
• Data Validation and Testing: Develop test plans and test cases to validate data transformations, calculations, and aggregations in business intelligence solutions.
• Azure Data Factory Pipelines: Test and validate Azure Data Factory pipelines to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data pipelines and data integration processes.
• Fact and Dimension Schemas: Test and validate fact and dimension schemas to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data models and data structures.
• Power BI Reports and Visualizations: Test and validate Power BI reports and visualizations to ensure the accuracy and usability of data insights and analytics.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation of data quality rules, data dictionaries, and data lineage to support data governance and compliance requirements.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and analyze data quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Data Cleansing and Transformation: Collaborate with data engineers and data analysts to develop and implement data cleansing and transformation processes to improve data quality and usability.
• Training and Support: Provide training and support to business users and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience as a Quality Analyst.
• 5+ years of experience in data quality assurance, data validation, and testing in a business intelligence or data analytics environment.
• 6+ years of experience in developing test plans and test cases.
• 6+ years of experience creating Test Plans and Test Cases using Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of data quality concepts, data profiling techniques, and data governance principles.
• Strong SQL and data manipulation language skills.
• Experience with complex queries.
• 5+ years of experience with data visualization tools using Power BI.
• Familiarity with data quality tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory pipelines for data integration and orchestration.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
