Deskside Support Technician (ID#3605)

We are seeking a Deskside Support Technician for our client. This position will work with the client’s IT team to assist with Deskside functions such imaging deployment and support.

Responsibilities:

The Deskside support will work in collaboration with the internal infrastructure Team and will focus on:

  • Deployment of desktop/laptops
  • Deployment of desktop software titles
  • Troubleshooting common issues with Desktop Software and Operating Systems
  • Install, move, set up and provide ongoing support to all clients for desktop and laptop computers
  • Provide technical problem-solving guidance and advice to users in person and remotely by phone
  • Provide input into the creation and ongoing maintenance of a knowledge base on technical issues
  • Provide input supporting standards, guidelines, and documentation
  • Provide support as needed in the Asset Management process
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to users within service levels
  • Support project initiatives related to the client’s desktop environment
  • Ongoing activities and deliverables, as required
  • Printing

Technical Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience providing Deskside Support
  • Desktop experience with Windows 10
  • 5 years of customer service experience
  • SCCM experience
  • Desktop imaging experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL is an asset
  • Desktop, Network, Storage and Meeting Room Support experience and certification is an asset
  • A+ Certification is an asset
  • Ability to prepare technical design and write technical specifications
  • Mac experience is an asset
  • Iphone/Android experience

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contacts
  • Provide advice and assistance on matters related to the work
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Perform assigned duties with minimal supervision, although direction will be given
  • Maintain confidentiality
