Instructional Design Consultant (ID#3277)

We are seeking an Instructional Design Consultant to help our client identify required competencies and educational strategies, and then translate these into practical learning materials for implementation across the province.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify competencies required to build medical leader capacity in their role in operationalizing specific medical quality processes, i.e. reference checking
  • Identify competencies required to build medical leader and staff knowledge in their role in operationalizing peer-learning rounds
  • Seek input from stakeholders and subject matter experts to define training methods and materials required
  • Define the most appropriate mode of delivery and instructional strategies (e.g., online, instructional, blended, etc.)
  • Develop an implementation strategy for the learning program
  • Identify resource needs and infrastructure requirements for implementation of the training
  • Consult and validate with target audience(s)
  • Translate key curriculum content into final learning materials and guidelines
  • Validate materials with leadership and other key stakeholders to ensure alignment with intended needs and goals
  • Revise and finalize materials/deliverables

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience with instructional design
  • Academic qualifications include an undergraduate degree related to instructional design, learning development, or adult education
  • Experience working in health care and working with medical staff
  • Experience with change management strategies is an asset
