Project Manager (ID#3845)

We are seeking a Project Manager to help our client with their Cloud Centre of Excellence CCoE. The PM will provide thought leadership for the plan and execution of the CCoE.  They will work with multiple vendors, employees, contractors and work closely and effectively with stakeholders in a collaborative manner to set direction for the CCoE.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in and drive scoping and technical requirements gathering sessions with client stakeholders
• Provide expert advice on multiple cloud solution architectures, process and methodology
• Lead projects and team and execute the Cloud migration project to a successful closure
• Ensure there are no schedule and cost variances for the projects
• Support estimating effort required for Modernizing and migration of applications infrastructure on to cloud environments including but not limited to rehosting, refactoring, redesigning
• Guide and manage project delivery per the solution designed for migration and/or modernization
• Support forecasting and validation of resource needs and availability based on the requirements of the opportunity/demand
• Work both independently or in a team-oriented, collaborative environment based on the project requirements

Requirements:

• 12+ years of experience as a Project/Program Manager
• Experience in Cloud Migration Project/Program Management (Project first, Program second for deliverables)
• Ability and experience developing detailed plans and strategies for migrations from on-prem to cloud and manage through complexities
• Specialized experience with Cloud Security protocols
• Experience with project financials and project business cases
• Understanding and coordination of common enablers and interdependencies between multiple project streams
• Strong problem solving, communicating and troubleshooting skills
• A decision maker, a team player and experience working with small and large teams
• Government, Crown Corp, or Healthcare experience is preferred
• Experience delivering for or managing a big 4 consultancy or cloud vendor is preferred
