Cisco SDA/ISE Network Implementation Specialist (ID#5077)


New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Cisco SDA/ISE Network Implementation Specialist to support the deployment of cutting-edge network infrastructure at the New St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver. The consultant will play a critical role in designing, validating, and implementing Cisco SDA fabric and Cisco ISE architecture in a large-scale healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Validate and update the SDA Fabric and Cisco ISE network design based on Phase 1 proof-of-concept results.
- Lead the planning, installation, configuration, and optimization of Cisco network infrastructure including Catalyst Center, Nexus Server Farm, Super Core, and WAN services.
- Manage the deployment of up to 550 edge switches across 51 telecommunications rooms and two main equipment rooms.
- Configure key network services such as DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and IP addressing across SDA Fabric and underlay.
- Design and implement secure access controls, segmentation, and automation using Cisco ISE and DNA Center.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive test plan for SDA and ISE implementations across clinical and non-clinical systems.
- Provide technical support for onboarding clinical equipment, end-user devices, and ensuring operational readiness.
- Collaborate with CTIS and PHC project teams, document all network implementation processes, and support knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer or network engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience with Cisco enterprise network infrastructure.
- 5–10 years of specific experience deploying Cisco SDA Fabric and Cisco ISE in complex environments.
- 10 years of proven success delivering large-scale Cisco networks, preferably in healthcare or similarly regulated sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco Catalyst Center, LAN automation, Border/Fusion node configuration, and integration of clinical systems.
- Proficiency with enterprise network services including DNS, DHCP, SNMP, and security policies.
- Cisco certifications such as CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure and CCIE Security are required or strongly preferred; CCDE is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently while engaging multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines during installation, activation, and commissioning phases.
