Communications and Engagement Consultant (ID#5034)


New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Communications and Engagement Consultant who will support the Communications, Organizational Change Management (OCM) team within a Program Management Office. This role is critical to execute the communication and engagement strategy for a complex clinical information system (CIS) implementation. The consultant will collaborate closely with Corporate Communications and Public Affairs, Program leadership and the Engagement, Readiness and Activation Leads and align with the Provider and Clinician Engagement Lead to ensure all activities support program awareness, commitment, and adoption.
Responsibilities
Lead Communication & Engagement Activities:
- Execute targeted communication and engagement initiatives aligned with the OCM strategy.
- Use stakeholder, impact, and readiness assessments to inform content and engagement design.
- Select optimal communications tools and channels based on channel assessments to maximize reach and impact.
- Create visually compelling content that energizes and informs.
Monitor & Optimize:
- Track effectiveness of communication efforts and adjust tactics as needed to meet program goals.
Collaborate Across Teams:
- Work closely with program leads to ensure communication plans evolve with program needs.
- Maintain alignment with Fraser Health Corporate Communications and related Fraser Health policies (brand, digital communications, media relations, etc.).
Manage Print & Vendor Coordination:
- Oversee print vendor relationships and manage materials for site readiness and training.
Support Ad Hoc Needs:
- Respond to emerging communication and engagement content requests.
- Contribute to regional and site-level communication plans and materials.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Communication / Engagement roles.
- Proven experience in large-scale, multi-stakeholder technology transformation projects, preferably in health care CIS.
- Strong understanding of OCM principles and interdependencies.
- Ability to translate complex clinical and technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Skilled in visual communication, user-centered design, and ethnographic research.
- Strong written and oral communication in a business environment.
- Ability to translate complex clinical and technology concepts into meaningful communication mediums, tailored and appropriate for audience, channel etc. for Clinical information system/Hospital Information system transformation.
- Worked as a part of organizational change management team on large, complex CIS/HIS implementation projects.
- Mentoring and coaching skills to guide and motivate team members.
- Must be relationship focused and a strong team builder.
- Acute attention to detail.
- Creative with strong visual communication experience e.g. Executive level presentations that tell a story with crisp graphics and concise information.
- Self-motivated, problem-solver and critical thinker.
- Skilled with Microsoft Suite, Adobe Illustrator, and other graphic design tools.
Preferred skills include:
- Graphic Designer with strong UX skills.
- Digital Agency experience.
- User empath and ethnographic experience.
- Customer / Patient Journey Mapping and user experience.
- Web design experience, such as HTML, WIX, Squarespace, Social Media, WordPress, Wireframe development

The hourly rate range for this position is $95 – $115, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
