Governance, Risk, and Architecture Consultant (ID#5140)

New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a highly experienced part-time Governance, Risk, and Architecture Consultant to support a public sector client in strengthening its information security posture. The successful candidate will lead strategic initiatives in governance, risk management, and security architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with industry standards.

This role is ideal for a senior professional with deep expertise in security frameworks and enterprise architecture, and a proven track record in public sector or comparable environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update dashboards, maturity assessments, and action plans related to information security.
  • Create and revise security governance documents (policies, standards, procedures).
  • Conduct quality control of key cybersecurity processes.
  • Perform risk analyses and document mitigation strategies.
  • Support classification and impact assessment of information assets.
  • Produce performance indicators and security dashboards.
  • Evaluate compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST, COBIT).
  • Draft security advisories and business cases.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and evolution of enterprise security architecture.
  • Provide expert guidance to stakeholders and project teams.
  • Monitor trends and recommend improvements to security solutions and processes.

 

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in information security.
  • 5+ years of experience in governance, risk management, or security architecture.
  • Experience leading at least 10 comparable projects using frameworks like ISO 27001-27002, ISO 27005, NIST, COBIT.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, or a related field.
  • One or more certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27002 Lead Implementer, CCSP, CCSK.
  • Strong communication and strategic writing skills in French.
