Firewall Analyst (ID#4795)

TimeNew Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking a part-time Firewall Analyst to lead the development of a Web Application Firewall (WAF) design that is required as part of the drafted Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) and Security Threat Risk Assessment (STRA).
Responsibilities:
- Host workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Gather all relevant information to develop the WAF design/configuration.
- Make recommendations for the implementation of the WAF design/configuration.
- Ensure the WAF meets the requirements / restrictions set out in the PIA, the STRA, all organizational standards/policies/practices, and recognized best practices.
- Document the agreed and final WAF design and configuration.
- Ensure all components/aspects of documented as part of the WAF design/configuration.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Firewall Analyst.
- Extensive experience developing Web Application Firewall (WAF) designs and configurations.
- Extensive experience with BC’s Health Organizations (e.g., VCH, PHC, PHSA).
- Experience documenting firewall design and configurations.
