New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the successful implementation of Microsoft 365. Supported by the IT Project Management Office, the Project Manager (PM) will lead and direct the project team to ensure successful delivery across all phases of the project lifecycle. The PM will be responsible for delivering the project’s expected benefits, ensuring outcomes are on scope, on time, and within budget.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive project plan, providing regular status reports, and effectively managing inter-project dependencies and communications. The Project Manager will proactively identify and address project changes, risks, and issues, recommend solutions, and work collaboratively with the project team and senior management to implement effective resolutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the project team, architecture team, applications and technology team, business areas, external partners, and stakeholders, to support the implementation of Microsoft M365 across the organization. This includes migrating to the cloud, releasing enhanced collaboration and communication functionalities, and implementing various M365 productivity tools.
  • Collaborate actively with organizational leaders to ensure efforts align with strategic goals.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-organizational team members and stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise for a complex, multi-phase project.
  • Apply standardized processes, tools, and templates that align with industry best practices.
  • Assess organizational change readiness to gauge preparedness and support the adoption of new tools.
  • Deliver regular progress reports highlighting milestones, challenges, and next steps.
  • Identify opportunities and collaborate with key stakeholders to implement improvements in the project management framework, processes, tools, and templates.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of recent direct Project Management experience managing IT business applications and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience delivering project involving Microsoft technologies, such as M365, Microsoft Dynamics, MS Power Apps, etc.
  • Experience delivering projects involving Primary Care and eHealth technologies, such as EMR, PACS, etc. considered an asset.
  • Proven experience in managing Agile projects, hybrid projects and waterfall projects through full project lifecycle.
  • Proven supervisory and management experience.
  • Proven experience with Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) systems, custom development, business architecture, and operations.
  • Proven experience in risk management and change management.
  • Proven experience in creating project documents, such as project charter and project management plan, including preparation of briefing documents for the senior leadership.
  • Proven experience in RFP, vendor selection, contract management, and vendor management.
  • Previous experience in managing business driven or business transformation projects.
  • Experience in health sector with primary care or processes change on Canadian Healthcare projects considered an asset.
  • Experience working with Project Management tools such as MS Project, OnePlan, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (Computer Science/Business/Health Informatics) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or Prince 2 certification is required
  • Certification or training in Agile or SCRUM considered an asset.
  • ITIL Foundation Version 4.0 (or 3.0); certification considered an asset.

The hourly rate range for this position is $80 – $100, with the final rate based on consultant experience and fit for the role.
