New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company is seeking a Quality Assurance Team Lead / Manager to help manage the quality assurance process, integrating both automation and manual testing to ensure software products meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design QA strategies for automated and manual testing for complete functional and non-functional coverage.
- Oversee test planning, design, execution, and reporting for both automated and manual testing efforts.
- Develop and maintain automation frameworks, tools, and scripts to enhance testing efficiency and accuracy.
- Coordinate manual testing for edge cases and complex scenarios where automation is infeasible.
- Manage and mentor QA engineers, promoting continuous improvement and innovation in testing practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, identify test cases, and detect defects early.
- Oversee setup and maintenance of test environments to ensure consistent and reliable testing outcomes.
- Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies; stay updated on QA trends.
- Track, report, and resolve defects; ensure timely fixes and retesting.
- Provide detailed reports on test coverage, defects, and execution status; maintain thorough documentation.
- Identify and mitigate software development risks through targeted testing strategies.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager.
- 1+ years of experience as a software developer preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in quality assurance, with a strong focus on both automation and manual testing.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of testing tools and technologies (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins).
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Java, WebLogic, Dot NET).
- Strong knowledge of test automation tools and frameworks.
- Experience with manual testing techniques and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of QA engineers.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple testing efforts simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential failure points.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate testing strategies, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
